Basic process
Wool sliver → mixed sliver → needle comb → roving → spinning → blending → winching → inspection → packaging of finished products.
Spinning the fiber into yarn generally goes through the main processes of clearing, carding, drawing, roving, spinning, etc. For the yarn and thread of high-grade products, the combing process also needs to be increased.
For the production of cotton yarn with different requirements, different processing procedures shall be adopted, such as spinning pure cotton yarn and polyester cotton blended yarn. Due to different raw materials, different physical properties of various raw materials and different product quality requirements, different production processes shall be adopted during the processing. (with the update of modern equipment, the process has also been adjusted to different degrees. The equipment can combine some of the processes together, so that there is less necessary work in the actual observation.)
（1） Process flow of pure cotton yarn
1. Ordinary combed yarn: clearing → carding → head merging → secondary merging → roving → spinning → post processing
2. Combed yarn: clearing → carding → pre merging → striping → combing → head merging → second merging → third merging → roving → spinning → post processing
（2） Technological process of polyester cotton blended yarn
1. Combed yarn: raw cotton: Clear Flower → carding →
→ head merging → second merging → third merging → roving → spinning → post processing
Polyester: Clear Flower → carding →
2. Combed yarn:
Raw cotton: Qinghua → carding → pre blending → sliver roll → combing →
→ head merging → second merging → third merging → roving → spinning → post processing
Polyester: Flower cleaning → carding → pre blending →
The difference between woven yarn and knitting yarn
Woven yarn requirements: high strength, less neps.
Knitted yarn is not as strong as woven yarn, but it requires high details, and its twist is not as high as woven yarn
Generally, the twist coefficient of woven yarn is about 380, while that of knitted yarn is only about 340.
For example, for 40s single yarn, the twist of woven yarn is 99 twists / 10cm, while that of knitted yarn is about 88-89 twists
